Royal Selangor size guide: how to choose the right size
Sleeves først — alltid
Hvert kort skal i syrefri sleeve før noe annet. Fingeravtrykk og mikroriper er den vanligste verdikilleren, og de kommer i det øyeblikket du håndterer kortet ubeskyttet.
Toploader eller binder
Kort du skal omsette eller gradere går i toploader; samlinger du blar i går i binder med sidelastede lommer. Aldri topplastede lommer i ringperm — kortene glir ut.
Skrin, mørke og stabilt klima
Oppbevar mørkt, tørt og stabilt: 40–55 % luftfuktighet og unna yttervegg. Treskrin med lokk beskytter mot både lys og støv — og ser bedre ut enn pappesker.
Forseglede bokser: ikke rør seglet
Uåpnet vare med intakt segl er verdt mest. Oppbevar boksen i original krympeplast, gjerne i beskyttende case, og løft aldri i plasten.

Pewter has weight
A Royal Selangor product weighs noticeably more than cheap alternatives — and it's part of the experience.
Mugs: 300–600 ml
Standard tankard holds 600 ml, small holds 300 ml. Tumbler glasses are 200-250 ml.
Figures: 8–35 cm
Figure sizes vary from miniatures of 8 cm to large collectors' pieces of 35 cm.
Picture frames
Royal Selangor picture frames are listed in the photo size they hold (not total frame size):
- Small (4×6 inches / 10×15 cm): Compact and personal. Fits on a nightstand, shelf or desk.
- Medium (5×7 inches / 13×18 cm): The most popular size. Balanced and versatile.
- Large (8×10 inches / 20×25 cm): Statement size. Requires some space, but gives maximum effect.
Beaker and drinking-vessel
- Shot beaker (30 ml): Classic tin shots. Small enough for the collection shelf, big enough to be functional.
- Drinking cup (200-400 ml): Equivalent to a normal drinking glass. Good for whisky, beer and everyday drinks.
- Tankard (500-600 ml): The classic pewter bowl for beer and cider. Holds a large pint of foam.
Figures and collectibles
Figures vary greatly. As a rule of thumb:
- Mini/bookmark: 5-10 cm height. Fits in your pocket and as a companion to a book.
- Standard figure: 10–20 cm. Most common for HP, SW and Marvel figures. Fits on a shelf without dominating.
- Large figure: 20–30 cm+. Statement collector's item. Requires dedicated space.

Candlesticks and decor
Candlesticks are specified in number of lights (1, 2 or 3 lights) and total height. A standard simple candlestick is typically 15–20 cm high and fits most standard candles.
