Hand engraving — the organic alternative
Hand engraving is carried out by an experienced pewter engraver with a precise pick. The result is a line with natural variation in depth and width — just like real handwriting. The hand-engraved inscriptions have an authenticity that machine engraving cannot duplicate: you see that a human made it.
Hand engraving is best suited for: short, personal greetings, signatures, and designs with an organic character. It is the ultimate premium option — and is available on most Royal Selangor pieces.
Machine engraving — precise and scalable
For businesses and those who need consistent typography — logos, fonts and precise texts — machine engraving is the right choice. With CNC engraving, we can reproduce the company's logo, line by line, on hundreds of pieces with identical results.
What can be engraved? Name, date, short quotes, acronyms, logos (outline style), monograms and numbers. Length is limited by the piece's available digging field.
Logo and color printing
For corporate gifts and door gifts, Royal Selangor offers logo printing with colors directly on the tin surface. This is ideal for company-profiled gifts where the company's visual identity must be presented correctly with the correct Pantone colours. The color print is durable and can withstand normal use.
Adapted packaging
The gift's presentation is as important as the gift itself. Royal Selangor offers customized packaging with the company's logo, a personal greeting on the inside of the lid, or color-coordinated ribbon and paper. For large company orders, packaging can be supplied with your own design.

Which pieces can be personalised?
Most Royal Selangor pieces can be engraved — but there are exceptions for pieces with a very complex surface (such as a tightly hammered finish) or where the design does not leave enough flat space. Contact us and we will clarify the possibilities for the specific piece you are interested in.
Delivery time by engraving
